Thomas Chin graduated with LLB (Hons) from the University of London International Programmes in 2014 and with a Certificate in Legal Practice from the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board in 2015. He subsequently read in the chambers of Mr. Rozlan @ Malcolm Murphy of Messrs Rozlan Khuen commencing October 2015 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 2016. He was retained as a Legal Associate in Rozlan Khuen and practised mainly civil and commercial litigation until his resignation in June 2019.
Thomas is experienced in various areas of practice including debt recovery, divorce, bankruptcy, companies winding-up, capital reduction, corporate litigation, probate and administration, labour and employment disputes, industrial relations, landlord and tenant disputes, construction claims, contractual disputes, tortious actions, and infringement of intellectual property rights. He also appeared and conducted mentions, hearings, trials and appeals in various forums including Labour Court, Industrial Court, Magistrates’ Court, Sessions Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal.
He joined SK Chambers in November 2019 and now assists the firm in full scope of competition, personal data protection, and regulatory law.
